Guide

Reading the scoreline.

Practical answers on narrowing a correct score — plus how our free and VIP tips work.

Why do one-goal margins matter so much for correct score?

Because that is where most matches finish. In 2,001 recent top-five-league matches, 25.3% were draws and 39.3% were won by a single goal — 64.6% combined. A correct-score shortlist built around draws and one-goal wins covers the most likely outcomes before you reach the bigger margins.

How do I use a league's most common scorelines?

As a starting point, not an answer. Each league has its own rhythm — in some the most common result is 1-0, in others 1-1 — so check the league's usual scores first, then adjust for the two teams: their scoring rate, their defensive record and the stakes of the match.

0-0, 1-1 or 2-2 — how do you choose a draw score?

Look at how many goals both teams usually produce. Two defensive sides point to 0-0; two teams that score and concede around one goal a game point to 1-1; two open, attacking sides make 2-2 realistic. 1-1 is the single most common draw by a distance.

Do you predict scores in other sports too?

Yes. Alongside football we publish free daily tips for cricket, basketball, tennis, ice hockey, American football, baseball, volleyball, handball and esports. The markets differ by sport, but the approach is the same: start from how the teams actually score, then read the matchup.

How should I use the single most common final score?

As an anchor, not a pick. 1-1 was the most common final score in 2,001 recent matches, yet it still landed only 11.5% of the time. Build a shortlist of two or three scores around it that suit the two teams, and check the price — a popular score at a short price is rarely value.

When are the daily tips posted?

Free tips usually go live in the morning. VIP selections are published in stages through the day as fixtures and line-ups firm up, with final touches added shortly before kick-off.
