Betting Odds Converter
Turn any price into decimal, fractional and American odds, and see the chance the bookmaker is giving.
Using the betting odds converter
Type a price in any box and the other formats fill in straight away. Decimal is common in Europe, fractional in the UK and Ireland, American in the US.
Implied probability is 1 divided by the decimal odds. It is the chance the price suggests, before you judge whether that chance is right.
Enter both sides of a market to see the overround: how far the prices add up above 100%, which is the bookmaker's margin.
Example: Decimal 2.50 is 6/4 fractional and +150 American, an implied chance of 40%. A -200 favourite is 1.50 decimal, 1/2 fractional and 66.7%.
Questions people ask
How do I turn American odds into decimal?
For plus odds divide by 100 and add 1 (+150 is 2.50). For minus odds divide 100 by the number and add 1 (-200 is 1.50).
What does implied probability tell me?
It is the chance a price stands for. If you think the real chance is higher, the price may be worth taking.
Why do both sides add up to more than 100%?
That extra is the margin. A tennis match priced 1.85 and 1.95 adds up to 105.3%, so the book keeps about 5% on balanced action.
Which format is best?
Decimal is the easiest to work with because the return is simply stake times odds.
